So I'm today I'm emerging again. A little less sick, a little more awake, a little more alive. And these are the things today that are making me terribly happy:
10- The leaves are changing color! Ever so slowly I've been watching the color creep down the mountain by the Y. Soon enough they will take over this entire tree-infested campus. And it will be lovely.
9-Getting to see my good friend Jess at the BYU vs USU football game. It had been way too long! (Jess-sorry for your loss, once again)
8-That all of my usual TV shows are back on. I'm embarrassed to admit just how many that may be...(HIMYM, Parenthood, Grey's, Gossip Girl... just to name a few...)
7-Seeing the Lion King in Disney 3D! I'm a huge Disney fan, and this was exactly what I needed. Thanks Poppe.
6-The OC. I've justified watching them nonstop since I haven't been feeling well. Any one else completely in love with Seth Cohen? (Thanks for introducing me/letting me take over your DVDs Nat)
5-Girls night dinner at the delicious cheesecake factory while Dad was at Priesthood. I love being with my sisters. So much fun. Even if two of us didn't have voices.
4-Sweaters, boots, layers, making carmel apples, football and all things Autumn.
3-Football with Dad. It was fun being sick together Sunday night, thanks for the company.
2-Finding my red sweatpants!! I had been missing this things!!
1-My favorite weekend of the entire year-October General Conference weekend. I was so excited for it this year, and I felt so much peace listening to the Prophet and apostles. President Uchtdorf's Relief Society talk was exactly what I needed to hear. If you haven't read it please, please do! You can find it here.
One of my favorite parts:
"God wants to help us to eventually turn all of our weaknesses into strengths, but He knows that this is a long-term goal. He wants us to become perfect, and if we stay on the path of discipleship, one day we will. It’s OK that you’re not quite there yet. Keep working on it, but stop punishing yourself.
Dear sisters, many of you are endlessly compassionate and patient with the weaknesses of others. Please remember also to be compassionate and patient with yourself."
Exactly what I need to hear.
..................................................................
I guess, in a nutshell Autumn makes me happy. Terribly, peacefully, happy.
What about you?

I'm so glad you came with me to see The Lion King! I'm also happy that you're feeling better and your week is turning around :)
Autumn makes me happy too, but being with my girls in any season makes me happy!
Autumn is my favorite season of the year! It was even pretty with the white mixed in with the other fall colors
